With the Ocean King, up to 6 players can go head-to-head in a race against each other to catch as many and more profitable fish as possible, scoring points to get the biggest payout! This simple concept is offset by fast, exciting game play that demands quick thinking, skill and co-ordination in order to be the best!
The cabinet features a high resolution, 32"LCD display monitor with superb 3D graphics that makes for some beautifully detailed ocean scenery; it also features what is currently the only English version of Ocean King, a Key In and Out function for operators to stack and return credits, and is made with premium Chinese components to create a great quality machine - one of the best in the market place.
The Key In and Out function is an important feature, as it gives more control to the operators. When players want to play the machine, the operator must use this function to put credits on the machine and pay them out at the end. Operators simply insert the key into the allocated slot and turn it; while turned simply push the 'SHOOT' button to put on credit/pay out credits (for example, if you want to put 50 credits on the machine, you push the 'SHOOT' button 50 times, and the same to pay them out).
Once the credits are on the machine, players can start the game. Players use the joystick to aim the net gun at a target and when a target is lined up, hit the 'SHOOT' button to try and catch the fish. You can also use the 'WEAPON' change button to change between the three guns at any time during the game, which includes the new Cumulative Super Gun; they have various net sizes and power levels.
The main gameplay is fun and layered with awesome features or mini-games, which are important to utilize to win the game. The mini game features include:
<b>- The Bomb Crab</b> - when the bomb crab is captured by a player it explodes and the player can get extra points from the explosion if it affects other fish.
<b>- Lightening Chain</b> - there are nine types of fish which are subject to lightening chain: snapper, clown fish, butterfly fish, fugu, lionfish, flounder, lobster, spearfish and octopus. Use the chain thunder to get up to nine kinds of fish at once and win extra points depending on how many fish, and how many different types of fish, are present on the screen at the time.
<b>- Vortex Fish</b> - each fish (except devilfish, shark, killer whales, humpback whales and bomb crabs) have a vortex feature. When a player picks up the vortex feature, the fish with the vortex feature at the time captures all the same fish near it for the player.
There are different fish up for grabs, including Clown Fish, Snapper, Lantern Fish, Saw Sharks, Butterfly Fish, Sea Turtles, a Humpback Whale, Bomb Crabs and more!
